Abstract: |
The alloys that having configurational entropy of equiatomic or nonequiatomic component more than 1.5R is called High Entropy Alloy (HEA) . Recent investigations in high entropy alloys has concentrated in different compositions , characterization and processing methods. Friction Stir Processing (FSP) can be used as a generic process for modification of the microstructure and changing the composition of the overlaid layers. Very high plastic deformation caused by high torsion of FSP tools on the surface would result in changing the structure of the coating . In this research, formation of a high entropy alloy with the composition of Ti- Cu- Fe- Ni- Zn on titanium substrate using the FSP has been investigated. For this reason, alternating layers of Cu, Fe, Ni and Zn have been electrodeposited on Ti substrate . The friction stir process has been done on electrodeposited substrates . The chemical analyzes and X-ray diffraction revealed one phase structure and solid solution of multi component coating on Ti substrate . The results obtained revealed that the uniform coating of high entropy alloy having ultrafine grain structure has been resulted . The parameters on electro deposition and FSP have important role for obtain the uniform high entropy alloy layer. |
